Welcome!

This space is dedicated to onboarding designers to Alto. Here you will find all information you need to complete the onboarding process.

During your onboarding process you will learn the tools you will encounter on any given day at work. You will be familiarised with our product and you will start working on you first tasks. If you find that something is missing or out right wrong, please go ahead and add a comment!

Your first days with Alto

The first period of time with us at Alto we will mainly focus on getting you familiarized with who we are, what we do and how we do it. This is a short itinerary of your first time with us at the office.

  1. Onboarding buddy (or mentor)
You will be assigned an onboarding buddy, they will make sure you have everything set up and will be your guide during the onboarding process. You should always feel free to ask your buddy anything at any time, their main focus will be to help you onboard during your first weeks with us.

  2. Office Information
Who's who? How does the beer fridge work?  When do I need the code to access office? We have gathered some useful information about our different offices here: Stocholm Office, New York Office and London Office. Read up on yours, or have a look at another one to learn more about how they do things.

  3. Presentation of what we do
During your very first day it is our goal to give a short presentation of what we do here at Alto. You will also be introduced to all your new colleagues to get some bearing of what everybody does around here.

  4. Desk and computer
A more practical detail of the onboarding is of course to get access to your desk and computer and other tools you may want (such as notepads, pens etc).

The onboarding hub

The onboarding hub contains a lot of useful information to get to started at Alto. The first time you log in on alto-intranet.com you will see a banner with a link to it. Here you will find general information about the company, how we work and who we are.

Design-specific software you may want to install

Figma

Our go-to tool for most design work. You’ll have an invitation in your email to the Alto team, which will allow you to get access to all our shared folders and files there.

The Adobe Suite

We have a cloud license, create a ticket in the IT Service Desk to get your credentials

Dropbox

We use Dropbox both for sharing design-related content with others internally, and to keep design-only assets in one place.
