Slack
Most of our communications happens in different Slack channels. Here’s a short list of the most commonly used Slack channels and what they are used for:
#general - All general messages concerning everyone at the company.
#london-office - For London office specific communication
#news - Company announcements
#random - Exactly what it sounds like
Google calendar
We use Google calendar for meetings and making it visible when we’re not around. When you’re using flex-time or are on vacation, add it to the Vacation calendar so others know about it too. Your absence will automatically show up in Slack #away channel.
Intranet
You can find all sorts of material from meeting notes to HR policies. If you feel that something is lacking, you can reach out to the Content Owner of each area. The content owner is visible on the landing page of each content area.
Jira
We use Jira to track issues in product development but also for other teams like Marketing and Design.
If you have feature requests or feedback about our products, you can submit it here. It also contains a list of all issue trackers for our products.
Service desks
We have external service desk where our customers can reports bugs, ask questions and suggest improvements.
We also have a couple of internal service desks like HR and IT.
We use Gmail. We don’t use that much email internally as most communication is in Slack.
1Password
We store all passwords in 1Password. Please use it for all of your accounts so that you can use proper passwords. You can let 1Password generate the passwords for you. There’s an extension available for Chrome that you can install if you find it helpful.
